Have you not seen the sign "If your dog is overweight you aren’t getting enough exercise!"?
Try a daily brisk walk, and only feed your dog once a day, after the walk, and only the recommended amount of dog food. Don’t feed scraps of people food.
Don’t give your dog diet pills!!! WTF!!?!

    Diet soda???

    Umm how about WATER!

You dog does not need diet pills, soda or any other ridiculous "rememdies" you just need to buy him a lower protein, low fat dry food and also recude his portion sizes.

Get him out for daily exercise to help burn off some of that fat.
Start off with regular short walks (3-4 times a day) and gradually increase the time and the speed of the walks (you should eventually be jogging or running after a few weeks)

As long as the extra weight is not through a medical condition such as under active thyroid, then ALL dogs can lose weight fairly easily through eating less and exercising more (gradually) for both.

I have had a rottie foster in here that was 10 kgs overweight, and I have seen others of 20 kgs overweight lose it and look very trim and neat within months.

Just cut down the food and put her on a light diet. Some makes do these and they do work.

It depends on what breed of dog you have and what their age is.
I think you should try more natural ways for your dog to lose weight before you consider putting the dog on more artificial medication.
Try walking the dog, getting more play toys (balls, tug toys.)
If yourself got involved with your dog he will be more prone to doing exercise, as he will have someone with him and it wont seem so ‘boring’. Some breeds of dogs only need to eat once a day preferably at night and maybe a bone in the morning or biscuits.
And make sure he is getting alot of water, if your try this method give it a month or two as results wont come right away. If your still worried about his weight, consult your vet and ask for their advice.

    Hi,

I think taking diet pills would just bring harm to your dog. Just adjust his eating habit to be able to lose weight in a proper way. Check out these diet tips for your dog:
